Since 1972 the Borgess Foundation has continued the rich tradition of philanthropy in support of health care and related services at Borgess.
Our Mission
The mission of Borgess Health is to be a values-based health system continuing the healing mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph and responding to the needs of those we serve. Our commitment to those we serve respects the dignity of human life and actively responds to the needs of the poor.
Who We Serve
Decisions made by the Board of Trustees are based on the healthcare needs of the people and the southwest Michigan communities we serve. Our primary focus is on assisting essential local projects that will help make comprehensive health care services accessible to everyone.
Borgess Foundation is a qualified charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, ID #23-722258.

Ways to Give
There are many ways to make a gift to the Borgess Foundation. Our staff and trustees welcome the opportunity to visit with you in person, by phone, or e-mail to discuss your interest in helping us provide the very best health care in Southwest Michigan.
Unrestricted gifts to the Borgess Foundation are directed by our trustees to the areas determined to be of greatest need. In addition, there are a number of restricted funds that support the designated interest of our donors. To develop a named fund or special purpose endowment, please contact the Foundation.
You can create an individual or family legacy to ensure that the gifts of health and hope are available to future generations. Financial investments in the Borgess Foundation can take the form of current gifts; estate gifts through wills, trusts, or other financial arrangements; or through gifts of stock, property, or other assets.
All gifts to the Borgess Foundation are fully deductible as allowed by law. Your donation may be made in cash, credit card, stock, real estate, collectibles or a planned gift option.
