Doyle and Joyce Crow

Doctor of the Heart Encourages First Gift from the Heart

As a well-respected board-certified cardiologist with Borgess Cardiology Group, Dr. William Campbell has made a difference in the lives of many patients. For one patient, Doyle Crow, along with his wife, Joyce, this difference encouraged the very first donation to the Borgess Caring Hearts & Hands Program.

This special program pays tribute to physicians and other health care professionals who have had a memorable impact on patient lives. Contributions to the program also help Borgess Health provide treatment for the needy, buy equipment and meet other important needs.

Of Dr. Campbell, Joyce said: “He is more than a doctor. He is a wonderful man and friend. Thanks to physicians like Dr. Campbell, and all of the excellent nurses and staff at Borgess, we are still here.”

The Crows, who are both in their 70s, have a lifelong relationship with Borgess. All four of their children were born at the hospital, and 26 years ago, Doyle had his first heart surgery there. The couple’s primary care physicians are employed at ProMed Physicians, an affiliate of Borgess Health, and every Wednesday morning, Joyce volunteers in Borgess Medical Center’s Seasons Gift Shop.

“We are thankful that Borgess is so close to us and we’re well taken care of there,” Joyce added. “Every time I drive by, I admire the building and the people within who care for us.”
