Friends of Borgess Nursing Endowment Awards Dinner – May 9, 2012
The sixth annual fundraising awards dinner for the Friends of Borgess Nursing Endowment Fund will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Fetzer Center in Kalamazoo. Each May the Friends of Borgess Nursing host an awards dinner to raise funds for educational scholarships and awards in nursing excellence and leadership for Borgess Health nurses. Since the fund’s inception in 2007, 58 Borgess nurses and community advocates have been recognized.
Borgess Golf for Health – July 16, 2012
This year’s golf tournament at the Gull Lake Country Club will raise money for enhancements and renovations to critical care patient family reception areas at Borgess Medical Center. A Shot-Gun Start will take place at Noon. More than $48,000 was raised in 2011 with support from generous sponsors and golfer participation.
For every donation you make to the Borgess Tree of Love campaign, you help provide free mammography services for low-income women in southwest Michigan without health insurance. More than $49,000 was raised in 2011 with support from generous sponsors and donors.
The 27th Annual Tree of Love campaign in 2012 will honor many individuals and organizations. The campaign officially begins in September with tree lighting ceremonies taking place in early December.
