More than 200 people gathered to honor and celebrate Borgess nursing on May 10, 2011 at Cityscape Events Center in Kalamazoo. Eighteen award recipients were recognized.

The Friends of Borgess Nursing Endowment Dinner sustains awards and scholarships to recognize nursing excellence, leadership, education and research. Through sponsorship, silent auction proceeds and dinner reservations, more than $120,000 has been raised to support nursing education, training and certifications.
