26th Borgess Tree of Love 2011

You know your money can’t buy everything, but you can buy a mammogram. In turn that mammogram might save a life.

Did you know that out of every eight women that you will see today, one will develop invasive breast cancer sometime in her life? When breast cancer is detected early, the five year survival rate is about 98%.

Nearly one in every five women can’t afford the insurance coverage or the money to get a lifesaving mammogram that can help them detect breast cancer early.

Borgess Tree of Love campaign set an ambitious goal and exceeded it!  Thanks to the generous support of individuals and companies more than $49,000 has been raised to provide the needed mammography services.

The campaign officially began in late September this year with tree lighting ceremonies taking place in early December. Physician Champions for 2011 will be Dr. Janice Werbinski and Dr. Dean Copely.

Gifts to the Borgess Tree of Love campaign are accepted year around, call the Borgess Foundation at (269) 226.8100.
