New Habitats for Healing are on the Horizon
The Habitat for Healing is a capital campaign to purchase new state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, and enhance and renovate the Borgess Medical Center’s Emergency Room & Trauma Center.
The success of the capital campaign has already allowed us to complete and open the new Borgess Gardens, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. With the completion of these projects it will strengthen our ability to meet crucial patient needs and preserve the health of the community we proudly call home.
Philanthropy has been a source of vitality for the Borgess Health care mission since the very beginning. The Habitat for Healing Campaign seeks to raise a final $300,000. Each and every dollar counts. Best of all, we will leverage your contribution. To demonstrate our commitment to the campaign’s success, the Borgess Foundation will contribute one dollar from a special endowment fund for every three dollars donated (up to $500,000).
Your support is needed to finish this campaign, make a secure contribution online or call the Foundation to find out more how you can help.
New Borgess Gardens Opened November 2009
Residents comfortably settled into their new home on November 18 after the $17 million Borgess Gardens Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was completed.
In southwest Michigan, there truly is no place like Borgess Gardens. From more private rooms to state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and peaceful outdoor courtyards, this revitalized setting provides an even healthier habitat for healing for the elderly and those who require short-term rehabilitation that we are proud to serve.
To help bring this project to life, Bill and Julia Van Domelen made the initial historic gift of $5.5 million, and the 9.65-acre site nestled within the Nazareth Campus on Gull Road was donated by the Congregation of St. Joseph.
Your support is needed to continue to sustain Borgess Gardens in the years ahead, make a secure contribution online or call the Foundation to find out more how you can help.
